By when in the flowering cycle can you tell if your female plant has been pollinated? i may have detected the male too late and im worried that my females may have been pollinated.

You said you detected the male too late. Need more information.
A flowering male is unmistakable because a pollen burst is very noticeable. If this has happened, your ladies are at risk.
However, if you noticed the unopened male pods
only and see no yellow pollen spilled out on its leaves, you might be okay.
Get rid of it ASAP.
