Pollinating the ladies....

Wut up RIU, quick question for all you expert growers, i have 2 females and 2 males flowering right now, the males seem to be way ahead of the females in all aspects, width, height, girth, branches and ton of sacs. I have 3 plants in 1 pot, female in the middle and 2 males on the ends and 1 female in a separate pot. I want to pollinate the females to get free seeds and what not. How do I actually do this correctly and when should i take the males out or should I at all? Any help would be appreciated.

Im not axpert but from what I know just by keeping them in thier it will pollinate them but im telling you males are like growing rice. Lol also 3 plants in 1 pot you wil" be lucky if the make it till harvest. They are gonna choke eachother root bound. Its just sad to see your letting 2 good females go to waste. But other then that let the plants do thier thing. You just watch.

Sorry forgot to add I heard that those seeds you will get off of your plant will most likely be males or hermie since those are there genetics..good luck

Whoa whoa, im not trying to ruin my 2 ladies i have, i just need to know how to pollinate them correctly so i can get seeds, and why would they be males or hermies? Hermies happen very rarley and just because a male pollinates a females dosent mean a seed will automatically be male. Someone else got more info?

First the whole one pot thing is a bad idea.
then hermies happen when thiers a light leak or under stress you got 3 plants in 1 pot thats a little bit of stress. And ur gonna pollinate ur ladies so its just gonna make it worse.
and I didnt say u disnt have a.chance of pullin a female out of the seeds u jut have a less of a chance. But yea like I said im not expert just by what I have read. Anyone care to correct me ?

If the males have started to drop their pollen just lean the male on the female and shake the male so the pollen will fall on the buds. I usually collect the pollen in a small container and with a small paint brush ( artist brush ) I dip the brush in the pollen and brush it on the pistles.

I agree with and do what deetee does (brush and bottled pollen). This way you have more control over how much seeded bud you get. And with a male pollinating a femal, it won't create males or hermies, that's BS. It will create regular seed that will be a 50/50 chance of male or female. Same as any regular non femanized seed.

Wut up Dee, yea so like i was saying im not trying to overkill my females or turn them hermie, just wanted to get some use outa the males since there in there already. BTW i know having the plants in the same pot is a no no but u live and u learn. I just wanted to pollinate the females get some seeds and never look at a pollen sac again. If there is a chance it will ruin the ladies then i will cutem down but i need to know from sum1 who does this and is there truth about the seeds being male or hermie?

Glad to hear that but should i cutem down when pollen comes out that way the dont overkill the buds with seeds. Also my problem would be if i had to cutem down would that hurt the 1 female in there or will it be Ok?

Best is to never plant more than one per pot, or if you do, separate them early. Even after gathering pollen the roots from the males are going to (cause they already are) keep the ladies from getting their full feeding. Cut the males as soon as possible while still getting the pollen you need for seeds, and hope for lots of good bud, or hell, you'll have plenty of seed (and still good smoke, just not as good as seedless), to supply you with plenty of plants.

separate the males, cut pollen sacks onto paper plate, open sacks with paint brush and brush on THE BOTTOM BUDS. The one pot thing will screw you though. Hate to break it to you

Well im debating on cutem them down, could they still be used in hash or what? I have all the cuttings from them so far. I just dont want both females to come out with like 500 seeds like someone said. Any more ideas RIU?

Some ppl say that males have some small amt of resin but I've never looked really not interested, I just get rid of them unless I want to breed.
