Porn

What's your opinion of porn?

Do you watch porn?

According to researchers at the university of Montreal, they were unable to find a male participant for their study who hadn't viewed pornographic material on a regular basis;

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2011/08/18/research-suggests-all-men-watch-pornography_n_930349.html

What do you think the possible long term outcomes of 100% of men viewing a more sexually stimulating simulation than they'd receive via real world sexual stimulation could be?

If I can get what took millions of years of evolution through natural selection to create in a digital moment, what incentive do I have to procreate?

Do you think the expanses of human sexuality through technology will eventually lead to issues with human reproduction? Or on the contrary, will it save us from the problems of overpopulation? Do you view sexual gratification outside natural human parameters ultimately as a good thing or a bad thing? Why?

Yeah, my plan is to socially profile all the males on Earth who haven't viewed porn..

Protip: you'll learn more with your mouth closed and your mind open

All the males who haven't viewed porn? Like searching for a needle in a haystack!

Protip: you'll learn a lot more if you stop assuming people are going to give you honest answers to assist your lifelong aim of being some sort of psychologist.

That was the point of the OP, there are no men who don't view porn regularly. I asked three questions; Ultimately, what do you think that means for humanity?, If I can receive sexual gratification at a moment's notice, what incentive do I have to procreate?, and will this inevitable innovation lead to positive or negative consequences in regards to human reproduction and the growth rate of the human population?

So unless you care to answer any of those questions, I'd appreciate if you kept your otherwise unwelcome opinions to yourself. You understand.

It's a public thread so on no account are my opinions unwelcome.

What you are basically questioning is why people bother having sex with each other when they can watch porn!!

Seeing as you're a man you don't seem to be in tune with even your own gender. My bf for one doesn't have any interest in porn. So for you to state that THERE ARE NO MEN who watch porn just shows how little background research you have put into your little study.

Like Anzo said, this thread is just a waste of time.

Just another in a long line of Padraper's misogynistic threads.
PS you can see why it has to watch porn, LOL

"On no account"? I asked three specific questions, anything other than answering them is otherwise unwelcome, including your judgments.

No, I am asking that since all men view porn, how do you think that will ultimately affect us, if at all?, If sexual gratification can be achieved without direct sexual interaction with the other sex, how do you think that might affect us?, and is this inevitability ultimately a good thing - because of the issue of overpopulation, or a bad thing - because of the fall of the rate of human reproduction and the implications that presents?

I can assure you, your boyfriend - as every single other male on the planet - is interested in porn. He's just better at hiding it than you are at finding it.

You mad bro? Lol

Wish my bf would watch porn with me but he's too busy! Lol

Porn has been around for decades so why are you asking this now? You even address overpopulation so what angle are you covering here? Lol

Yes we are all gonna watch porn and become asexual (like yourself). Happy now? That's my answer. :)

I don't have any reason to be mad, you are words on a screen to me buddy, I don't take anything on the internet personally

Go read the study I cited earlier for yourself. Every man they asked if they viewed porn on a regular basis answered yes, they had to end the study because they couldn't find any outliers. Not one. I would imagine you have about as much insight into this as I do about the nuances of the menstrual cycle, just because I'm not a female and you're not a male.

You're right, porn has been around for decades, but I'd argue it hasn't been readily available, to the extent it is now, up until about one decade ago. I remember using AOL 56K modems in 2000, broadband came around 02-04, then DSL & Cable.. So now we face these issues, and it seems irresponsible not to face them honestly.

The sample size from the article in the OP was 20 heterosexual males. Basically, they polled twenty eighteen year-old pubescent students on campus in order to conduct their 'research'.

How you can extrapolate from that sample size the contention that all men (universally) watch pornography is a little confusing to me. It's quite a leap, and also factually incorrect.

Feel free to present any evidence to the contrary
