Potential set up

yes, Ive got 200 wats in CFLs that are 5000k, just nothing to put the bulbs into -__-... i spent all my money on a shitty 5 head lamp saturday, returned it today to get the two halogen lamps. Ill return them and try to find out what to do with my budget... lol

i figured id just let my 2700k bulbs and 5000k bulbs both burn through out the plants lives.

t5's are good for flower if you are limited due to high ambient temps or have a lower tolerance for heat exhaustion created by HID lighting.

If you are going to get a T5 (or T8), I would suggest a good reflector and not just some Home Depot shop light, plus HO bulbs. I'm doing CFL - they can start adding up in cost when you get lots, but they are cheap and easy to find for starting out. Just make sure with any florescent that you get the right color temps.

However, a shop light T5 would be better than the Halogens. T5 fixtures can always be used for fill lighting if/when you move up to HID, LED, or whatever in the future.

With $18 i can get two porcelain sockets, two splitters and two cords 14 guage for wiring your lights...screw em into a scrap piece of wood or a shelf and then hang it and your good to go...should cost $6 sockets $6 on splitters and $6 on cords...should get you what you want

Im going to get 2 of these

http://www.homedepot.com/Electrical...Id=10053&langId=-1&storeId=10051#.UOnvqne17T0

some regular CFLs for to add the 5000k specturm, since the lamps are 2700k.

Im going to put it into a 4x3x7 closet, lined with aluminum and mirrors.

There will be four plants.

Think it will be sufficient?

PICS tonight
You better get some cooling set up on those fin shaggy lights. As for the cfls, id run at least 250 watts real power. Or 6 42 watt, is that 250? With "y" spliters hanging. Look into "donkey dick style lighting of medical marijuana".
then just take all those mirrors and foil out of your way and youll be fine with white walls.

Yes, it was definitely hot in there. Luckily, my family likes the house cool, and we keep ac on 74, plus, I have the window open on nicer days. I have one ceiling fan on high right now, and I will get at least one more fan in the room.

Other than the lights being hot, they will work fine wont they? gotta be better than 4 23 watt 2700k bulbs like other people grow with...
Finn is that you? Work lights dont work...think grow lights.

Lol^^^ i guess what i should of said was double check info...MOST people won't steer you wrong, its always good to clarify things with a little research

My biggest pet peeve is when someone blows off what I have to say. I have plenty of knowledge. If he doesn't want it, that's okay by me.

If I didnt want peoples help, I wouldnt have asked.

You gave no help. You said, "I dont recommend buying them, but go ahead and see what happens", after 15 other people told me not to buy them. (I already got them before I saw peoples responses)

Help is
"I dont recommend buying those, when you plug them both in, inside the small closet, the temps will reach 90+"

You didnt say anything relevant to that.

And you said I'm asking silly questions? you mean the question about WHATS WRONG WITH MY LIGHTS!? the one you didnt answer? o, ok thanks.
