Power Box - lowest cost options? 120 to 240 volts to save power?

Trying to get electricity consumption down and looking for a cost effect option between Power Box, Titan Controls or ...???
I thought I saw a DIY but with 8000 watts running through these boxes - saving $50 for DIY seems foolish. This Total 8 plus 240 seems to be around the best deals at $187.

How do you do it??? You set your veg lighting schedule to this (digital timers are very helpful for this schedule)
Lights on 12 hours, Lights off 5.5 hours, Lights on 1 hour, Lights off 5.5 hours (repeat)

That sounds like the Gas Lantern Routine. You should google it up as there's a lot more info than i could give you about it.
Haven't personally tried it myself, but would love to one day.

You wont save any energy, its twice the voltage and half the amperage, or its half the voltage and twice the amperage -- in the end its all the same

What you might be saving on however is cabling.
Because twice the voltage = half the amperage (For the same total power).

Right....same wattage. So if you're billed in wattage there isn't no way around it.....well you could be a criminal and hack power lines or go solar.
