In mid bloom, how low can a light feeder desire its nutes. I'm at 600 and still seeing a little burn on one particular plant.
I'm running mixed strains, off the same res. 2 out of 3 are happy. PPM drops from 650 to 630 over night. I correct as needed. PH drops from 5.8 to 5.1 every night. plants drink lots, and get 600 watts. temps are ideal, humidity about 35-50. Just my romulan is having issues.
Im running a custom RDWC with a 7'2" Vanilla kush and a 5' Tora Bora the Vanilla kush i know from previous experiences that shes a very heavy feed as the tora bora is a very light feeder. I keep them both fed with 750-850ppms so about 1.5-1.6ec when the water level drops and the ppms go up i just top it off with water a little more to even out the ppms. Once i get to the point that my ppms are significantly lower i just top off the rez with some cal-mag and part a part b to get it back up to bout 750-800ppms Both the plants are 3 and a half weeks in flowering now and every leaf on them both is lush green with zero signs of damage. No deficiencies no burn and BUNCH of nice thick flower formations all over the place its possible to have a heavy feeder and a light feeder under one rez but a ppm/ec meter is crucial. Just my .02 I apologize if i misunderstood your question just smoked a fat bowl of some skywalker hash Delicious but a lil hard to concentrate heheAhaha sad the mad man.... I see.. this is a strain issue.... you have no way of knowing which plants need what nutrient wise.... I've always wondered how that would go, having more than one strain in a DWC set up, or sharing drip systems. If the two need more food, you have no way of knowing if the one doesn't and is holding up res ppm swings... As long as they are sharing a rez, I'd do just like you are doing and play safe and low... adjust 50 points per watering and look for signs of trouble or accelerated growth. You might just find a middle ground that both strains can live with. But if one is an aggressive feeder and one is not, the aggressive will suffer stunted or delayed growth. I'm interested in hearing other opinions as well, because I just made some DWC systems and was curious about mixing strains in the same rez.
haha awesome then. Started reading it all over and was like "uhh does this even make sense or am i just uber baked" Had 3 midterms this week so needed to fly away for a lil whileNash dude, you hit the nail on the head and i think your contribution here is awesome... so you let the ppms fluctuate to both sides...... impressive...
