PPM's for seedling in dwc

Alright so I have another thread running where I am posting photos and information with not much luck, all good I still love ya guys. My question that I need answered though is what my ppm's should be for my 8 day old sprout. I had it running at 75-100 for a little but it seems they have nute burn, so I changed my res and added all new distilled. It was initially at 10 ppms, I added some cal-mag to increase it to 20. Ive been told not to add any nutrients, but cant imagine that 20 ppms is gonna hurt the lil fellers. Any help is appreciated, if you need more info ask or check out my other thread. https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/627712-check-out-my-new-sprouts.html. Thanks in advance guys!

SOMEONE PLEASE! Im getting different info from everyone. Im reading that ppms should be anywhere from 100-250 for a seedling, could my plants be defficient? Im so fucking lost and over my head right now I dont know what to do. I spent all day getting my ppms down because I thought they were too high to find out they might be too low. Please someone give me some insight!

Can you give a picture? I didn't give any nutes for 2 weeks from seed but that little should be good. They should be able to stay green by themselves for around the 2 week mark though.

why does 420 magazine say this
I would like to offer a ppm chart as a rule of thumb or ball park target ppm, but each grow or garden is going to be different.

These numbers are based on EC readings, .500 readings, TDS readings converted from EC or the common Hannah Chart:

Seedlings, Early Sprouts 100 to 250

Early Vegging 300 to 400

Full Vegetation 450 to 700

Early Blooming 750 to 950

Full Mature Blooms 1000 to 1600

(this excludes the ppm of your water)

20 to 150-200 seems like a big difference to me, thats why im having such trouble figuring out whether Im giving too much or too little

+rep to the first mofo to explain this to me!

but you can also be too careful and starve your plant, the chart above seems OK for a sativa dominant strain but an Indica, AK, WW will take a beating with nutrients and you cant give them enough.

1-3 week....250-300ppm

veg
week 3-?
500-750 ppm

flowering
900-1300 depending on the strian
but that was on an OG Kush

Its bubblegun, ak and bubblegum hybrid. Im fucking raising em to 200 and saying fuck it. If that doesnt help and they die, il know next time to give em less. I really think there starving. There growth seems to have stopped

I do my seedlings at 100ppm 0.5 conversion. If they are yellowing and not growing give them a little bit of grow nutes but keep it super light. over feeding will kill your plant. Under feeding will just slow the growth.

Thanks for the help guys, although answers are contrdictory! ha, i just raised em to 150, il check em in the morning to see if there eating nutes or drinking water. Lets hope I dont wake up to their death.

They shouldnt need anything yet. Tap water has some nutrients in it already, not alot but theres some. What your running now is probably fine untill theyre around three inches tall. I dont know if youve used anything to displace some of the water in that tote but i used a bunch of pop bottles filled with water to lower the amount of nutes i had to add, saves a couple bucks. Whats the ppm of your tap water? After they get through the stage theyre in the chart posted looks pretty good except for full bloom, 1600 is really high. Im assuming they arent going to get really big so i wouldnt go past 1300 and watchem close that high. Also, when your about to chop they wont need as much food either. You can drop it to 450-500 ten days before you chop and just feed water from then on. I found my ppm went up when i checked it on chop day :):):)

My tap runs 300 so as said in the first post Im using distilled. Runs at 10 ppm when put into my dwc. Just bumped em to 150 because these fuckers are starving. This is not directed at anyone who posted, I appreciate all the help i can get, but im sick of hearing dont feed em anything when nothing to me means 10 ppms (where as to others it may mean 200 ppms). I would assume they need something. correct?

Yes, in hydro with 10ppm water there is nothing for your plants to feed on. The cotyledon leaves have enough nutes to pop out a set of leaves, but that's about it. Don't give seedlings nutes is soil advice IMO.

Oops, i figured you were using tap water, i didnt read it well enough sorry. I just give my clones tap water for the first two weeks and its at 150 ppm, works great. Same with my seeds, i start them in rooter plugs because i dont like phing rock wool cubes and i wait untill theres roots poking out of the plugs then i put them into the dwc at 250, only 100 of that being nutes. :):):)

All good! As said before, appreciate all the help I can get!
This might help you then, pic one is when they went in, 18 days from cutting clones. Shes a stretcher, these are the back ones in pic two, they got big. The ones in the front were 3/4 s the size and they all went in together. The front ones are more the normal height for 18 days until light flip so you can gauge height of stretch. Train wreck in front. Good luck :):):)

very nice sir. i have heard that trainwreck stretches alot?? did you find this to be true?

It's most important to keep it stable, too much fluctuation at such a young age is never great. Keep it at 150 or less for a day or two. GL! :)
