Pre-flowers in veg! Boy or Girl?!

I have (2) Ace of Spades, and (2) Apollo 13 BX that have been in veg for 40 days. Upon examining them this morning I noticed three of them are showing some sort of pre-flowers, I looked at them with a scope and I still cannot determine whether or not they are boys are girls. Please take a look at the photos and help me decide. Are they early calayx formation before the hairs pop out, or are they balls??
I hope they are all not boys, that would leave me with one Ace of Spades, and two little two week old Bubba Mantis F2's, and completely screw up my cycle.

got pics? if all you see is the pre flower with no stem attaching it to the node its most likely a female =).. if you see a tiny stem then the little ball its a boy =(

Pictures sir. I'm having the same problem. One of my babies shows female pre flower. The other I see two different kinds. Looks to be some female pre flowers and male preflowers at the same time...but I can't make a decision since female preflowers are identical to male when really early and sometimes female pre flowers won't open till you flower them.

If your preflowers have any little white hairs coming out of them then they are female and if you just see a little preflower andno hairs give it another week or so and they should pop out if there fem. Males usually show there sex a week or two before the females.

The ones that look like females and males at the same time are leaf buds forming for new branches. Confused me at first too. I had a male apollo that looked like a female preflower with wart starting to grow from it. Too bad was a nice and healthy little plant. Now it sleeps with the fishes.
