Preflowering question

Lets say I have 10 Master Kush seeds from Dutch Passion. They are 6 weeks old and in veg. Last week three of ten started to preflower, the rest have not.

Does this mean the rest are for sure male, or is there still a chance after veging for another three weeks, or even after swithcin the photo period to 12 12. These three seem to be a little ahead of the rest when it comes to flower branches as well.

Thanks for the replies

of course not..

Look if they show pre-flowers cool.. doesnt mean you HAVE to flower them. Just wait a week or 2 more and see what happens to the other ones, if you see pre-flowers then they are female.. or if you see MALE preflowers then their male.

No way to tell if a plant is male/female until it shows sex.

Hi, regardless of what you're seeing in the veg state you'll know who's who once you put them under 12/12. Veg for as long as you need, no worries!
Meanwhile they may have some lag between the different plants just due to slight variations in genetics and who was their actual seed bearing mother.
Once under flowering light they'll hair up quick and you'll see if any are males. I seriously doubt though you'd be getting anything but female sexed seeds from a seed supplier these days. Good Luck! GrowIT!:weed:

On a side note it is completely possible to revert a flowering plant to vegetative state and even to flower the same plant twice.

I thought it might be relevant.

Thanks for the replies. They are not feminized. They are reg seeds. The only two non feminized strains i have are the master kush and fuckin incredible from vancouver island seed company which are two weeks behind the kush.

Regular seeds? No worries! Like the post above says the pre flowering is just a bonus. Once you start to flower them 12/12 then you can sort them out. Still bet you get mostly females anyway eh! Good Luck GrowIT!:weed:
