preflowers [pic]

hi guys,

I am about 35 days from seed... Still running on 18/6 with vegetative bulbs - growing with the Aerogarden deluxe bulbs and 2 42W CFLS

2 of my 3 plants have begun to show flowers - 1 of them was male, 1 was female.

my Question is,

since the flowers are beginning to show, do i HAVE to switch the lighting cycle to 12/12 now?

I would prefer to train it a bit more before I begin flowering but I don't want to risk an over/under developed plant

Is it ok if i continue to run the lights on 18/6 for a few more weeks? even though these flowers are beginning to show?

You can leave your plant in the veg state for years, It's up to you when to flower it's only gonna get bigger!

interesting, what happens to these initial preflowers? they dont duplicate or anything? would they die if i continued to veg?

nah they will just stay there and more wil form

That's kinda the reason they are called pre-flowers......flowering will happen in 12/12.
