Will the plant be okay? That all depends upon which part of the root system you cut. If it was a main root connecting to stem you will probably lose it or get serious dieases. If it was a small rootlet your plant might recieve a little more shock in the transfer stage. Keep watering it with the correct vegetative growing solution and hope for the best. Your plant will be in my prayers:weed:

It will wither, very slowly. You will look at it thinking maybe there's still a chance, but nothing will halt it's slide into death.

Don't overwater and give it a nice treat, like some plant food.

Cutting a piece of one root won't do any harm....if your have to switch to a bigger pot that means it's outgrown the pot it's in which means there are plenty of unharmed roots....you'll have the normal transplant shock down time and that's it...no prob...

I've done that before...reply to a post and then realize it's a relic...As my ex would say, "That's why they call it dope!"

Welcome to RIU :bigjoint:

But thanks for the welcome...it's still useful info...that's all that should matter...but some folks just can't help being #$@&$#@
