Have 3 plants in half seasoil half promix -mix.. 3 gal pots.

Have not watered in 3 days.. the other 2 look fine.. no nutes other than calmag..

Strain im having a problem with is ak47...
Its very droopy compared to the others. I gave it a pretty hefty trim job last night ssince the fanleaves were droping down and touching the soil.
Kinda wish I just propped them up now..

They are 30 days old and 10 inces high..

Never leave water in the bottom of these deep pots, Canna just don't like wet feet, that said I too have used these pots in the past on the understanding that canna does like deep pots, but I now find that hard to believe, so will you, I suggest you invert the driest pot, and you will note that the bottom is totally soaked, with no air and even a little stinky suggesting that soon you may have a pythium(root rot) situation especially in a hot soil too.

mark as urgent and repot to say 4-5 gallon (not deep), include a healthy mix 30-50% perlite water well allow to recover in dim light or overnight

Thanks for the quick reply.
Okay ill pick up some pots after work..

I been looking at thos fabric pots I think they are called smart pots? Maybe a 4 galon smart pot will do the trick. They do have a lower profile I think than my 3 gals... what should I do if thy dont fit in the pot? Should I cut the roots at bottem till it fits? Or should I go 5 gal... but might be overkill for my 5"11 max headroom

Thanks again

I use smart pots all the time. Pretty much impossible to over-water them. The 5 gal is just a little taller than the 3 gal. (havn't seen a 4 gal smart pot) I don't think you will have a replant problem at all. Good Luck!

Hold the plant by the stalk low down ..slide the pot down and with you fingers tease the rot zone so the dirt falls of, transfer to a preready pot insert then water well allow to recover overnight, this allows the 02 to reattach to the roots, no nutes for 2 weeks

good advice, i'd also have some mychorrizhae to sprinkle on the roots directly, when transplanting it's a really good idea to do this, I spray the roots directly with a mister, and then sprinkle the myco on it so it sticks, every side of it, you'll notice a BIG difference when you harvest, maybe not with the quality of the herb, but the size and density of the root-ball, and we alllllll know, that happy/large roots mean bigger happier plants, which obviously mean bigger/nicer nugs.

don't want to jack your thread.. but question in the same area.. I have two plants in bag pots... I find they stay wet and heavy at the bottom... can I replant in last stages of flowering or is it redundant.
