Pruning during early flower.

I might have made a rookie move. I started and couldn't stop lol. So I gave her a hair cut during early flower... thoughts anyone? Trimming during flower a bad idea? I tried removing mostly the lighter color leaves and the yellowing ones. Seemed like a good idea to open it up to allow more light and air flow. Someone tell me I didn't make a mistake lol. Its my first plant.

It's fine. I always trim after stretch And so as to not have so much fluff. But, you should find out the reason you had dying leaves as well. What are you feeding, if anything? What medium?

I am at day 6 flower today, planned on giving them a good defol around week 2 when they're done stretching myself.

Organic soil and water. Used some organic plant food at the beginning as well. Just started using a seaweed solution and seems to be working well its looking more healthy by the day.

I possibly would have trimmed more, how far into flower are you? I prefer the air flow and forcing leaves to grow only where good amounts of light reach then. You're totally fine.

Would you recommend doing more defoliation. The more I read the more I find its not that uncommon.. and can be very beneficial...
I wouldn't be the one to ask haha. I'm on my first grow. I did take a little bit during veg. I probably won't next time, I want to reduce recovery times and increase growth during veg. I'll just let it grow, do some supercropping, defol at week 2 flower and then that's it, unless I absolutely have to do something.

I would say almost 2 weeks. I went and removed more first thing this morning. Could have probably trimmed up more off the top. The more I read up on it the more it makes sense to defol at this stage.

Plant looks very healthy and the defoliation you did so looks extremely minor. Feel free to remove more leaves that block bud sites or might otherwise be restricting air flow through the canopy.
