pruning

does anyone know what the effect of pruning would be as the plant is flowering? would it speed it up or just kill the plant?

it depends on what sense of the word 'pruning' you mean? Removing Fan leaves or branches, or what?

i cut the fan leaves this grow. im in my 4th week of flower and dont see anything wrong with my plant.

I'd say keep the fan leaves, they absorb the light which the buds need, maybe tie then to the side or something. Some people get rid of the lower branches early on in flowering b/c if they aren't going to get much light. This is called lollipopping and makes the plant focus on the top. I wouldn't cut off any good fan leaves because the plant is probably using them. If done right i think it can help your plant out but remember the plant will have to spend some of its energy repairing its cuts. Hope thats along the line you were looking for
