I was wondering, would it save time and stress to simply transplant a young seedling about to outgrow its current container into a very large pot that you intend to flower them in?

hey name's sleepyhead, it would be ok to do that just make sure that you dont over water the plant. most people think that just because the plant is in a larger container it needs more water, thats not true. just water it the same untill you see growth then water some more. also crushed egg shells mixed in the soil would defiantly prevent it from dieing.

Yes, thats a good thing if you have the room..I put my best seedling right into a 10 gal pot and water around the plant and let it stretch the roots to get the water..
Less stress and un-needed transplants is good.... Oh yeah Welcome...
