OK, so I had a question for Sub or anyone who has experience with these two strains. It's primarily regarding stability.
I have read many reviews for Querkle (Urkle x Space Dude) that all praise the stability of the strain. It apparently has only two phenotypes that show themselves often. This is outstanding from a stability point of view and makes me want to order it. But before I do, I want to consider a second option...
Now we also have Deep Purple, a BX made from a Querkle Male and Urkle. This, according to my train of thought, should be even more stable, leaning towards the Urk. This is exactly what I am looking for. BUT, the description says that it produces a "wide range of female plants." Now, correct me if I am wrong, but shouldn't backcrossing a plant usually improve the stability? Is this variation due to the unknown genetics within the male querkle's genotype or the Urkle mother?
Both strains sound fantastic, and I will probably end up with one or the other. I was just a bit stymied at the potential variation. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone.
