Question about Chemdog.

About to grow out a Chemdog cross (Extrema from Sannie), hoping for a Chemdog pheno - just wondering what the real deal Chemdog is like so I can know what to expect and look out for.

How does it smell? How does it taste? Very keen to find out answers to both.

I never got as far as tasting my chemdog lol. Just make sure you've got plenty mag to feed her. She's a mag whore, i lost my 2 pretty fast to to mag def

I have grown GH Chemdog many times, it is truly one of my favorite buds. #1 it is a very tall bud, so make sure u have plenty of room. #2 Mag whore is putting it kindly, i am a old school guy so i used epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) to combat that problem. It works great use it as a supplement to ur feedings ( 1/2 teaspoon per gallon). #3 Smell does not usually get to intense until week 7-8 around there, But it is extremely funky. Make sure u have a good means of odor control, because believe me it will have the whole place smelling like bud. #4 The taste is slightly piney with a little hint of sweetness. It is very strong, quick hitting, and long lasting high. For me the best time to harvest is when the tricombs are slightly amber. I have found anymore then that and you will be sitting on the couch starring at your frig for hours LLS. Serious couch lock. Good Luck and Happy Smoking

Oh one last thing. You want to flush 2 to 4 times between weeks 5 til completion. I was able to produce bigger yields when i began this method. This plant can lock up on u quick.

Nice one. Thanks for input guys. I have some 'Bloom Cal/Mag' which I've been using with good results. Sounds like I'm gonna need it. Sweet pine sounds nice Had someone the other day describe the smell as being like Benylin cough syrup.

There's ChemDawg, Chem Dawg (with space) and ChemD (parent of Extrema) and Chemdog (the guy who found the seeds in a bag of weed he got at a Grateful Dead show).

Chem Dawg is a parent of the Liberty Haze I grew last round. Supposedly (not experiencing it myself) it can make people a bit more paranoia than some other strains.

I'll check out some local Extrema grows soon and will let you know if anything specific about chemd pheno/traits stands out.
