Question about HPS...please help

i am in the process of switching to my 400w HPS later on today and I wanted to know if when I do this, do I take the CFL's out and JUST leave the HPS going or just ADD the HPS to the CFL setup.....

sorry if this seems like a dumb question to some...

the more light the better as long as the temp is controlled

you can use the cfls to light the lower branches where the light is less intense

While I very much dislike CFL’s I would say that since you have them already and if you have adequate outlets/power strip to run all the lights if I were you I would position the CFL’s lower down the plants and give those portions of the plants an increased amount of light.

In other words run your CFL's in conjunction with your HPS. You can only gain, you cannot lose.
