Question about male flower

Okay, I'm currently growing a few skunk #1 male and I'm trying to select which of the males would be the ideal breeder.

I have 2 males that look like the picture below.


They have skunky smell to them if you rub the stem. You would also notice the "white stuff" sticking out. At first I thought they were female flowers, they were not. Anybody have seen like this or can anybody identify as to what part of the male flowers are those? I've searched the net but couldn't find anything remotely similar.

I also have a few more skunk #1 males but they don't look like the picture above, here's a pic of what the rest of my other males look like.

I took a closer look at them, the're just basically leaves. Looks like specialized leaves, almost needle like, totally different from other leaves or compared to other male flowers I've seen for that matter.

I guess, I have a unique male pheno here, cant wait what it will produce with my females skunk #1.

Just to update this long stipule pheno

This phenotype is definitely a sex linked trait, it only shows up on males and passed on to its progeny.

Note: not all my males have long stipules but got quite a few of them this time.

I've got a grandaddy purp male that produces those pistil-like proto-leaves. They mature into regular leaves, if I'm not mistaken. It's a lot of fun growing out males, it's exciting because it's not something most growers bother with, so there's still an enormous amount of discovery, adventure, and learning involved in seeing what the other half of this species can do, since we all (well, most of us lol) haven't already looked at thousands and thousands of photos of amazing male plants every month, like we do with females.

TLDR lots of new and exciting turf, enjoy it Only get the joy of discovery the first times.

Also, I don't want to hijack op's post, but can anyone provide a few quick yes/no answers to questions that are related tangentially to this topic? I.E. Can a blooming male plant herm and produce female flowers? Also, if you were to take a male cultivar that is notorious for hermaphroditism in females, would the males of that cultivar carry the herm genetics? Thanks and sorry op!
