Question about roots

Im on day 13 of my grow using a bubbleponics setup and I noticed some brownish stuff on my roots. Im pretty sure that its my nutrient solution building up because it looks like the solution is settling on the bottom of my reservoir and sticking to my tubing and pump. The nutrients I have are a powder form and don's seem to dissolve well so I ordered new nutrients from advanced. My plants are doing amazing and look super healthy so I just thought I would share my progess and see what you guys think.

Has anyone else used powder nutes and noticed the same thing here? A build up on the pump, lines, roots, and settling to the bottom? It almost seems like its helping I just don't want to clog my water pump. Cant wait to get my new nutes in and my 1000w MH/HPS switchable light!!!

Those roots like fine. As long as they aren't a slimy brown, I would say it is just the nutrient solution. I've run a hydro set-up with Advanced Nutrient's 3 part Micro-Grow-Bloom line. It was really easy to use, and my roots came out totally healthy, after two months, and they were the same color that your roots are now. It's just the effect of sitting in a semi-colored solution all day long. I would bet that if you gave them a nice wash, and let them sit in distilled water for a day, they would whiten up again.

Remember to change the water out in your reservoir weekly to prevent fungus and algae build up. If your roots start developing and brown slime on them (it will be noticeably different from what you have now, trust me!), run a forum or google search on how to use hydrogen peroxide to whiten them up. You don't need to do this at this point though.

Your plants look happy. Let 'em grow. :)

Yes I thoroughly washed my hydroten, I have a schedule set of every 7 days to flush my system and new nutes to the system. I just checked and the nutes had completely clogged up my water pump and no water was getting to my plants. So I flushed my system, cleaned my pump and lines, cleaned the reservoir and everything is spic and span now. As of now im running just water no nutes until my new nutes come in which should be about 3 days. Do you think they will be ok till then? Im hoping that by removing the nutes will make my plants grow by making them look for nutes, not sure if it will work or not.

So you think I should add my nutes back in and when my new nutes come in flush the system, clean it again and add my new nutes?
