Question about topping??

Hello RIU, I have a question about topping.
My plants are to the stage that they can be topped now but are still in red solo cups and are about ready to be transplanted to larger containers.
Should I transplant them into larger containers and let them adjust to the new containers then top them? or should I top them in there current containers and wait to transplant for a few days?
Or does it not really matter? I'm just afraid to shock them to much from the transplant and topping at the same time.

I would transfer first. Try to put as little stress as possible on your plants when they're young.

I agree transfer first then wait a few , then top. You had the right idea but you wanted someone to tell you to top then transplant lol not gonna happen. Good Luck.
