Question about using 125W CFL + 400w HPS in same grow room

So I have two lights, a 400w HPS and a 125w CFL for vegging. I have a multitude of plants in the same small room and wanted to know if I could run the 125w CFL 24/7 without it causing huge disruptions with the flowering cycle of my plants. I've read that you need CFLs really close to the plants for them to be remotely effective, but does any ambient light cause big problems during flowering or would it have a negligible impact?

The only types of light that won't effect flowering cycles is moon light and green light, because leaves are green they reflect most of green light, however Ive also heard that even green light can cause problems if used too long, not sure how factual that is, so to answer you question yes, a 125W CFL will absolutely effect the flowering cycle of your plants, when plants are in flowering, during dark periods, they produce hormones needed for bud production, if that 12 hours of darkness is interrupted with light then the plant will stop the hormone production (flowering) and start vegging again, that's what you don't want when your trying to grow bud.
