Question- Fan Heater in tent?

I'm going to be having 60x60x140 tent in my shed, but it will get cold when lights off, i have a 2000w fan heater with - vent - warm 1 - warm 2
It will cost a lot to use and surely unsafe?

I need a good solution, it will be very cold lights off so i need some kind of heat supplement to the 250w hps.

Any help would be appreciated

How about a heat mat?

just righ up the heater to a thermostat so you can more accuratly controll temps.

it will be as safe as you make it...go the extra mile to make sure everything is nice and secure and safe and you should be just fine

I've been running my grow in my unheated garage in Canada. The temps have gone down to -27c/-16f outside. What is working for me is I put insulation around my grow spot, then I suck the air from inside the garage and blow it back into the garage.. Keeps the heat up.. I also have two grow areas.. I'm currently 18/4 and 12/12.. So when one is off the other is on. When I go flower in both rooms.. I'll have maybe a 1hr overlap so I can check both easily. My temps have been sitting at +10/50f in the garage and +14c/57f to +30c/87f in the grow area (lights off and lights on). I suck the air from the first space into the next.. I run the first rooms lights at night(the coldest time of the day) that way the warm room heats the next room which is off. Also as a backup, and when i tested the area with no lights or plants I used a space heater with a unnumbered termostate. Worked awesome. Use it in the space as a backup..it doesn't come on yet..but when i hit -40c/40f outside I'll feel safe

I use a fan heater with a thermastat. I just put it about three feet away from the passive intake and let it be sucked in. They are to hard to control perfect temps inside of a tent and could burn your plants

I am having the same issue, except my tent is in a very large shop and is too hard to heat the whole thing. I put a space heater in the tent and it seemed to work alright but the ground was sucking so much heat from the pots the roots were getting too cold. I have since brought them inside under the 8 bulb t-5 in open air. I am struggling to figure out what I am going to do when it comes time to flip some plants. I like the idea of circulating both rooms heat between the other, and put a more insulated barrier on the floor, thanks guys!

I should have mentioned that in my post. I went to Home Depot, they make these 2ftx2ft boards that have mdf waterproof boards with a blue hard insulation, Think they were r-value 4. It lits the pots off the cold concrete by like an inch and puts a barrier between the board and the cold, it's meant for a sub-flooring for basements, cost like $5 a piece and they are ridged kinda like laminate to stick together.

Here is the easiest way. You get a climate control thermostat with a 120 v external plug and you connect your exhaust fan to it so you can exhaust the heat when it reaches a certain temperature. Basically then fan is off until your desired temperature gets to high then the fan kicks on and exhausts the heat. This lets you keep the heater on all the time.
