question on colors of crystals

i have some clones that were vegged for 5 weeks and im just over 8 weeks into flower...what color should the crystals be when i pull them...to me they look kinda clear kinda white...please help as im having trouble with humdity and damn mildew i cant get rid of..i dont want to pull them too early after going this far but dont want the mildew to get any worse...thanks happy smoking

How about some pictures? usually I pull mine when i see almost no clear trichomes, 30-40% amber trichomes, and the rest kind of cloudy/milky white.

if you're using your naked eye, you're not going to be able to see the color for what it really is. I'd suggest a 30x loupe if you're not already using one. i like to aim for around 30-40% amber as well. but if it's a heavy sativa you may be waiting a while to see that much amber production.
