question on transplanting

I've been growing my plant for about 2 months now. Prior to that it was found by a lake by a friend of mine so I'm not sure when it was actually planted. It's growing beautiful buds but the plant won't grow any higher than about 4.5 inches.

My question is should I transplant it to a bigger pot in order to get it to get taller? Will this be harmful at all? I may note that the plant gets about 9-10 hours of light a day. I am not sure if that is a short enough duration to effect the plant's growth.

If it's only getting that much light, it is flowering, and there really is no reason to transplant because the plant is nearing the end of its life.
