Question RE: Males

I have never grown out a male before. I am doing it now to collect pollen to make seeds.

How many weeks into flowering do the sacks burst??

I have never done this before. I learned it from here. FDD has a great thread on it. Some put something under the plant, some cut the tops and put in jars. Once sacks pop collect te pollen and with a small paintbrush dip into pollen, brush on a few lower bud spots quick squirt with a spray bottle and that should be it. Thats what I gathered from here. I like experimenting and trying new shit so if it wroks I will save some $$$$ on seeds.

How many seeds do you go through?

Just keep an eye on the pods. Every day they develop a little more til they look like they are opening. From my experience it doesnt take long at all. You can just snip off the flowers right at the point when they are loosening up and opening. Keep em laying in the open air for a day or so til they dry a tad and then you can pry em open, or crumple em a bit. You'll notice the pollen will just fall out. It is almost as light as smoke.

These are autos and they showed a few days ago. I just hope they didn't pop. I snipped some off and threw them in a shot glass just now. Some look like they've popped. I just hope they did after I got them out of there in time.
