ok, i dont want to spend money on a humidifer because i dont have any money to spend. but if i were to leave a bowl of water in my closet would that create humidity? sorry if this is a stupid question but i guess it just seems like it would work.

yes.. a bowl of water will work... do you really need to raise your humidity?

Watts.. umm... well... what kind of light are you using... are you using an HID light or Fluorescents?
