questions about cutting +EXP

hey whats up can you just take a cutting from just any node i know you can take it from the 4th node but im watching youtube videos where people just take themm off right abovethe node

If the plant is mature enough, you can take a cutting from anywhere. Generally, the rapidly growing tips of the plant that tend to be thicker and the tallest part of the plant don't clone as well as lower branches.

^^ yes and yes and yes yes... the lower branches contain more root hormones

There is always the ability to add your own hormones. Picking up a bottle of rooting hormone will help induce rooting on almost any cutting. I was able to clone lemon basil with this when applied persistently, in a very cool room, on a very small cutting. Basil does not do well in cooler conditions, adding the hormone and keeping the clone water clean offers great help. You can even add a small dose of water soluble nutes, but very small, like one drop, don't burn them.
