Questions about first grow

I haven't bought any supplies yet but I am planning on using cfls. I was wondering how many 24w cfls should I buy to grow 2 auto flowering plants? Should I buy less higher wattage cfls instead of more lower wattage cfls? and what soil should I use that I can get from Walmart or lowes?

My first grow I used two 24w, two 13w, and a 15w UVB and grew two Pineapple Gum Autos very well in Miracle Grow Moisture control and they did well I got around an ounce. I feed mollases also and made sure to not over water

Also, did you only use fertilizer for flowering? Because I heard with autoflowers you don't need to use nutes until blooming... Thanks for the feedback btw.

Mg has nutes already I didn't feed anything other then water and low dose mollases flush for two weeks prior to recommended date and check trichomes

The most efficient CFL are the 23-26 watters. 100w equivalent.
If your going with just 2 autos, id do 4 or 5 bulbs a piece.
I had a few plants under 23 cfl bulbs and 2 4 foot T-8's. It ended up costing more and was alot harder to get rid of the excess heat than the 600Whid i have now. My first 2 grows were with cfl. its MUCH hardert to get the yield, you HAVE to keep the plants short. LST them. Top them if theyre not autos. Keep the lights close (but not tooo close) 1 or 2 inches people will say is good, but trust me even though they dont burn, keep the lights 3-6 inches away and you will see increased growth.
I had excellent results with CFL and theres nothing wrong with them, dont listen to people that say u cant grow good weed with CFL. You definitely can, its alot more work and will cost more money IMO. Id go with a 250-400w HID for some autos instead. Check ebay theyre cheap nowadays. Bigger yield less work. The new ballasts even take both MH and HPS bulbs and you can switch em from 150,250,400 w, or 250/400/600, or 400/600/1000 depending on which one.

This my first grow ever . My plants are flowring now .. I used 23w cfl 6500k 5000k for veg got them from lows. 2700k got from Walmart 24 pack for 24$. Bag ff soil 19$ Enough to for 6 3gallon pots 59$ ff trio..and awesome ppl her to help out we need help

I grow CFL, I usually got for 23w cfls and enough to get around 10,000 lumens per plant. So 5 or 6 of those per plant. I don't grow autos but I LST all my plants for better light reception and more colas per pl ant. Works great along with CFL lighting! If you can get FF, great. MG work pretty damn well too. I used the Orchid mix last grow and my plant did great. I also do 1 teaspoon of molasses per gallon of water from about week 3 until harvest. Didn't add any nutes until flowering

Youll hate yourself if you dont LST...

24 for $24!!!! sweet deal, where i am i pay 12.99-20.99 for 3-4 bulbs. I used 23 bulbs as well lol. Yielded 7oz off of 2 autos and 4 photos.
