Hi all, my name is Cory. To introduce myself I have been a daily smoker for the past 6 years. I deal with a lot of anxiety these days, and have come to find that high THC only makes it worse. So now I like to buy legal CBD hemp and mix it in with my herbs to calm the anxiety. This is where my question starts. I love growing, but being in Tn where weed is illegal to grow, that only makes my anxiety worse. I can buy legal hemp with low THC and high cad at the local glass shop, it has seeds in it. And I would love to grow some if I knew that there were hardly no penalties. Now it is 100% LEGAL to grow hemp in Tn if you purchase the agricultural hemp farmer's license. Which is where they grow it to sell it industrially to companies. What I'm wondering is if I can get the seeds out of the legal buds I buy at the store. Is it legal for me to grow 1-2 hemp plants in my house without the license? Being that I would not be growing it to commercially sell, or to even sell at all. The store owner told me it's 100% ok to grow with no license so long as I'm not growing it to sell, but I know that statement is coming out of his a** and he really has no idea. Personally I don't see anything wrong with it being that you can go buy apples legally, and then legally plant the apple seeds out of that apple? You might need a license to sell the apples, but not to grow them to eat? I know this sounds dumb because I'm sure if a cop was to arrest me for 1-2 hemp plants, I could get a lawyer that would have the case thrown out in court. But I don't ever want to have to go through that scenario and hire a lawyer to argue that I'm innocent for growing a dang plant. lol. Any thoughts or opinions are greatly appreciated!
