Questions about lighting bulbs

I work at a hardware store and they have a HPS 70 watt bulb and they have a 100 and 150 watt mercury vapor bulbs and they are with the standard base that coudl go into any light fixtue and a common light can go in would it be suitable to grow with? and if they are could they be used in a regular outlet safty? its say on the box to turn off from circuitso am not too sure any help would be appreciate it they woudl be suitable for growing an dif so if they could be se din a comon light socket since they have the standard bas or dose it need a certain set up thanks

only use a bulb that is intended for that socket. hid lighting needs a fixture to run bulbs . do not try a hid bulb in a non rated fixture for safety . hid need ignitors to properly light that specific bulb!!
