Hi. I'm new here and I love what I see! So informative!!
Can antone help me with a EuroSystem lighting system I bought. It has a funny connector I've never seen before. It's the connector to the balast. Do I have to buy a Euro balast only or can I change out the the cord and connect to a balast that takes a reg 110 plug?
I've used a HydroFarm Sun system before but I've never seen this kind of connector before. :-? Thanks Ahead of time.

Without modification, a Eurosystem light fixture will only work with a Eurosystem ballast.
I don't see any reason why you couldn't cut off the Eurosystem connector (the white, rectangular, plastic one) and replace it with a sunlight supply or hydrofarm connector. All these systems use the same bulbs. Make sure you know what you are doing because this is a high voltage (600v) cable and proper splicing technique is important. Make sure you identify each of the three wires (ground, power x 2) and connect them to the corresponding pins on the new connector. Hydrofarm and Sunlight supply do not sell connectors, so you will have to buy an adapter ($15), cut the connector off, and do the splice job. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, I recommend finding a Eurosystem ballast. Good luck.

I spoke to some suppliers here in san jose and they said bring it in and they can remove the cord/connector and replace it with a standard 110 connection. Thank you again.
