Quick newbie outdoor question.

Since it's basically summer the days arent 12/12, so I was wondering how you go about flowering plants? Or does it auto flower w/o needing 12/12 lighting.. I've always been confused about this. Any advice would help, thank you.

The plants sense that the length of the days is shortening and that causes them to begin to flower. Usually in the US around early August. 12/12 is an indoor technique used to 'snap' plants into flowering so the grower doesn't have to gradually reduce light hours.
