Quick question about calibrating PH meter....

Heyllo,
I've been searching and can't quite find an exact answer. So ANY advice is appreciated!.. The directions say to calibrate the meter using distilled water.... Wouldn't I want to calibrate in the tap water I WILL be using? Or should I just go with using distilled and add in my nutes? I am using FFOF soil. Only going to add in, give them, liquid fish fert (5-1-1) for first feeding. Just because I've done (TRIED to do, lol) some training on them. They are definitely showing signs of slowww growth and AT LEAST whacked PH... They are overdue for a watering and I want to get a good ph'ed water in them when I do. THANKS, Guys:blsmoke:

Ok, cool. I have all that. I just thought that if I calibrated the meter to distilled water and then used to check ph of TAP water, that it would be reading completely different... hm.. but alllrighty. Thanks man

What kind of meter do you have? Link?

I have never seen a pH meter that you calibrate in water. It's always a calibration solution. This makes me think the meter you are using is likely garbage.
