Quick question on transplanting?

I was wondering if it is better to transplant late in the night befor the lights turn of or early when the lights turn on? If anyone can help me out that would be great

I've never paid much attention to the light cycle. Usually I put them on my schedule when I transplant. I get them here and there, legally, so they are on a different light schedule anyway.

Like to see what else is said, I might be making a mistake.

yeah i will usally do it in the afternoon but i need to transplant in a couple days and ill be leaving on the day that i was going to do it. but ill be there when the lights are about to turn off. so im just wondering if it would be alright to transplant late in the night befor the lights turn of. Also what would be less stress on the plant, not sure if it matter, I have never heard anything about it, i would love to see what you guys think:weed:

I was thinking if you did it befor the lights went off it might help give a chance for the roots to recover. or dose it need light to help it recover? Any thoughts?

Just do it nicely whenever you want. they dont mind. When done properly on correct root masses, stunts a plant for 12-24 hours if at all.

alright cool, i was also wondering what size of pot i should transplant her into. she is a little more then 3 weeks old. I have a 5 gal bucket but im not sure if im going to need that big. Ill be having two plants under a 250watt hps. in a small area 2x4x7. should i go with the 5gal or 3gal?

I'd say if your only doing 2 plants give them 5 gal each, make sure proper drainage holes are in the bottom. But you could easily probably pull of 3 gallons with the same results. Its just a matter of, Do you want to save soil and space?

so i went ahead and transplanted into a 5gal bucket with the top cut off so its about a 3.5 or 4 now, its going to give me a little more space. and hopfully still be big enough for her. I know i dont want no 5 ft plant though so i thought this would work out just fine. thanks for you input guys. check out my journal if you would like to see how thinkgs are going....just click in my sig and it should bring u there
