quick question plus rep

my girls are doing really good nothing wrong with them im about 3 weeks in to flower give or take
i heard that some were well ur flowering u put ur plants in 36 hours of darkness i belive they said 36 hours near they end of her flowering period and the buds were 25 percent bigger

Bro, let me put it like this, NO it does not make your plant 25% bigger, the purpose for the total darkness is to let your plant know that its time to go into its flowering cycle. Thats it and it only, ive done it and it seems to work well for me yet i acually do 48 hours of dark.. i hope this helps..Peace Pot Prosperity

what i do is 36 hours dark before flowering then before harvest elave it dark for 72 hours, jsut my thing

Think about it like this.....if a simple lighting change would make a plant produce 25% more, everybody would be doing it.(those who have the option) The theory, is that the darkness triggers the plant to mature faster than normal, but it doesn't effect the yield.

I think maturing faster in fact does effect the yield.

well i think the poster is refering to shock ripening. (cold water and darkness anywhere from 2 to 7 days)...Though I personally know many caretakers who swear by the process of shock ripening, IMO the only way to get a big bad ass plant is to just grow one!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like the guy before me said, if these super magic shortcutts worked, everyone would do it!!!! good luck bro!

...done this one, wasn't told it would grow any extra weight, but...I was told that it would make the amber trichs more abundant.
...I didn't notice any difference with or without...all seemed the same from the prior crop. It's not like your waste'n any money experiment'n with this one though. I say try it.

my plants are already 3.5 weeks into flowering more then far size colas
im just wondering if i should put them in darkenss for 3 days or w.e and countinue feeding and flushing them befor i harvest
