Raising Humidity?

Hey i need help raising Humidity in my stealth box. i already put a cup of water in the room but that is not raising the humidity high enough and doesnt last for a while.

its not the biggest stealth box neither the smallest but i cant seem to raise the humidity.

Any Suggestions????

I've been having some problems keeping humidity up as well, it drops below 15% if I leave it to it's own devices. I'd suggest putting a bowl of water in, and draping a cloth over top so that the center of the cloth touches the water. Water wicks up and out into the cloth, increasing surface area which increases humidity quite quickly. Call it a ghetto humidifier :) You'd probably be better off lowering those lights a bit as well, once seedlings are established, CFLs should be 1-2" away, otherwise they lose a LOT of effectiveness.

YOU need heat and water to make humidity so raise the temps and add some water on a sponge or rock wool cubes. if you are exhausting the room all the time with those fans your just removing the humidity as well so its kinda hard to get it all perfect in the stealth box's unless you seal it up and use co2 then you can get the temps up and still have good air and the Rh with come along with it. then watch th Rh and exaust to remove excess humidity as needed. enjoy and happy growing

you don't need heat to generate humidity. Big wet towel placed infront of a fan. done. Or buy a cold air humidifier from target for $40.

well the temp in my box is 79 degrees F, and i already have a cup of water in corner im going to try the paper towel on top thing first.

but yeah my plant it far from that stage in picture today is day 10

but yeah thanks for all the helpful ideas i will give all a try, im trying to raise humidity cause i know during veg stage it should be around 60-65%

i would buy one but my box is to small to put a humidifier in the box unless there are very small ones

well i have a dual intake fan which is the bottom ones and a exhuast fan which is the top one i also have a second cylinder intake fan on the side of the box

Kill your fan (intake/outtake or circulation) every so often, that should increase it a bit. Granted you'll end up with more heat, it's a trade off, but will allow you more control.

you must not have read about the problem very well or something. they are trying to raise the rh in a grow BOX so were is the towel and fan gonna go? and the cold air humidifier ? and i didn't say that was the only way to do it. but heat and water create whats called water vapor and is then released into the atmosphere thus creating humidity. when the air is cooling at night the humidity goes up due to water vapor starting to condense and thus creates dew on you grass. common sense for most people because it happens around you all the time. happy times and good luck to you

Another thing along the same lines is to adjust your in/out fans to a slower speed, allowing more moisture to build up, granted temps will climb. So it will be a balancing act.
