I cant wait for the experiences! great post man. I thought of this alot, never did it, but seems ok. although.....things to consider.
product leaching, uv breakdown, ....but man, with the handles built in, the never ending free supply, and near perfect size is tempting.
if they were black...Id have done this by now lol.

I've looked into this and went the way of large heavy plastic grow bags 3+ usgal

my concern was the pigments used and the extra on paint to get them dark enough for roots to grow

good luck

I've used them indoors and they worked great, I tried em outdoors and the Sun really beat the hell out of em, they broke down outdoors bit did just fine inside.

That's a great idea considering I'm not supposed to put them into my recycling which is whacked! I wouldn't count on one holding up very well buts there is no shortage so go four or five ply.

I have used Walmart reuseable bags set inside plastic containers ( drilled / holed ) for support.

Worked just fine and i paid 60¢ each.
