reaction to dark

hi everyone.got a question i cant seem to find answers to on google or here i may of missed it though.my plants are reaching like crazy for light and once there dark cycle comes they are still reaching like crazy the whole time and i have others that go down in the dark if you know what i mean untill the light is back on.is this normal for some plants or have i got a problem .they are growing fine and look healthy ,would love your 2bob worth .thanks everyone

Without more info about your set up its hard to tell. Your light can be to far away, the type of light perhaps...so many variables.

My plant was very stretched when it was under the wrong light it was like she was reaching towards to get more as soon as i got the right light at the right hight she sorted herself out so tell the peeps what light you have and how far away from your plant it is and then that can be elliminated

Have u got right spectrums of light and try get the light under 15 inches to the plants with oscillating fans running along the canopy and it there still stretchin try tying them down alittle

Also, if its a Sativa dom, its gonna stretch anyways. And I've notice that some plants do most of there growing/stretching in the dark period

thanks for your comments everyone .but basically im talking outdoor plants ,there all around 4 weeks from germination and ranging from 3 inch to around 7 inch .once the dark sets in ive been out at midnight and some are still reaching like crazy and others sort of wilt at night as plants do ..they get full sun all day untill sunset. last year they all react and sort of wilt come dusk ,but not these ones .a little wierd ......thanks guys

I know what you mean, just the big leaves kinda droop then when it's light again they pick up. My Blue Dream does that but my AK doesn't!
