Ready to Harvest?

plants are approaching end of week 8 flowering now :P look pretty ready to me. what you guys think? just giving them a good flushing out now and cutting them on weekend :P

there are some lower branch buds that look under developed though. should I chop the whole plant or just cut half and let the bottom half carry on for another week whilst my 3rd plant (trainwreck) finishes up. Is there any point to that or should I just cut all of the plant at once? Thanks for input people :P

any serious guesses on yield would be appreciated too. Thank you :)

What lights/soil/nutes?

What lights/soil/nutes?

growing under a single 600w hps. in coco coir mixed with perlite. pretty much 50/50. been using the foxfarm nutrients up until the final weeks and then added in advanced nutrients overdrive recently and now just doing a flush. This is also my 2nd ever grow. waited for longer veg this time around. first time using coco. encountered a few problems along the way but pretty happy with the results considering :P

Judging by the size of your plants you probably got the 600watt hps over 2 FT above the tops? She looks to be coming nicely. Yield is hard to guess. 4 plants not trained under 1 600 could get you anywhere from (1-300) grams beginners (300-800 +/- g) experienced depending on the methods, strain, deficiencies, type of feed ect.

Yes that is correct. the lights are so high above because of my 3rd plant which is taking up all the room but by far the most productive plant of them all lol.

But that one isn't done yet. It still has a further week - 2 to go but the indicas seem pretty much ready for cutting now. should I only harvest half of the indica plants and let the bottom branch buds catch up as they still have lots of white hairs and need to mature more? or is that pointless and I should just cut the whole plant at once?

Also thanks for the yield guess. I know its a very hard question to answer as so many factors vary. but I'd be happy to see the better end of 300 g + on this. like I said it's only my 2nd grow and I have been very patient with this one :) If I can see the better part of 12 ounces off of these then thats music to my ears lol.

Check the cloudy to clear/amber ratio on the indica's. It can be tricky if you want a medical heavy body stoned indica smoke.

And yes to answer your question, after the top has no new growth or stretch and is near 100% ripe you can pick them off and leave the bottom for one more week. Check the trichomes of the first bud growth (fully developed buds from week 3/4 of flower) on each bud you are trying to pull.

Regardless, you will still have a body stone even if you pull indicas early , more degraded thc = a heavier body stone to the already heavy body indica feeling.
