Ready to Start Flowering?

I have read many posts on this, and the closest answer i got is when the leaves start to alternate... I dont exactly understand that statement so I was wondering if anyone would mind helping me tell when the proper time to enter the flowering stage is.

Currently one of my females has pistils comnig out everywhere and she is still on the 24/0 light schedule, but my other female (pretty sure same strand got the seeds from the same nugs) hasnt shown quite nearly as much as the other one, i mean it has the pre flowers, but the pistils havent popped out yet, i can see JUST THE VERY TIP of 2, they were born on 4/12/09 and one is 26 in. and the other is 15 inches.. but the 15 incher has about 20 different pre flowers with pistils, and the 26 incher has bout the same amount of nodes bu not pistils... anyone care to elaborate? :leaf:

Probably start flowering soon...just remember they will double to triple in size during flowering...so just go by the space you have....

Honestly you can really flower whenever you feel right...it'll just either make your plant be smaller or larger determined on whether you flower anywhere from seed until maybe it's 2-3 ft tall...

I'm really stoned...i hope some of this made sense.
Peace

I am on the same level as you so yea it made sense haha, pretty much Flower when the plant reaches a size where it can double or triple in size and be an adequate size for the grow room... my grow room isnt too wide but it is tall so i think i should be fine as far as the plants getting bigger, but the 26 incher is going to be a monster when it doubles I am going to have to make some adjustments for it. Thanks for the help man.. Also I got some big bloom and Tiger bloom on the way, should I use this as soon as I get it or a week or two into flowering? I plan on flowering in the next couple days, my room is completely blacked out when the lights are off during the daytime, so i am ready in that aspect, any other tips for a first time grower going into his first flowering?

Some people will say don't flower before the plant naturally shows its pre-flowers. Some people say you can flower after the fourth set of true leaves. My first grow from seed was under 12/12 from the beginning. The plants were flowering in three weeks. I let mine go for five weeks and then cut the lights back.

It seems to me you can flower at any time you choose, they sound ready. As for the leaves alternating, instead of two leaves growing opposite one another, the plant will start to put out one and the next one will be on the other side of the plant.

My next grow I plan on flowering them after four weeks.
