Red spot on branch?

The spot's not totally on the leaf, but a little up the stem. It's only on a few branches. Does anyone know what it could be? Does it mean she could be lacking something?

I'd be less concerned about the spot (which is I personally wouldn't sweat about,) and more concerned about what is eating holes in your leaf.

I knew someone was going to say something about that, it was taken care of about a month ago with some insecticide, it started flowering recently so I can't use anymore. Every new branch/leaf that has grown hasn't gotten eaten and I haven't had any problems. It's not anything special it's just some mid-grade bagseed.
