Regarding LED Light Heights

The Deets:
  1. It's my first time. Be gentle.
  2. 3 plants in a 4x4 Tent (2x Blue Dream and 1x Kaia Kush)
  3. Plants are below 2x 600W lights ( Think "Amazon" grade 600 W) and were around 16" away
  4. Temperature sits at around 25°C for most of the day (humidity around 44-47%)
  5. Plants are in 2 Gallon smart pots, only recently moved from solos
The Dilemma:

  1. The plants seem to be quite short with approx. 4 nodes I can see. I know for a fact I was overwatering them in the beginning, and have since corrected that issue, but it did lead to stunted growth.
  2. THE QUESTION is if I moved the lights to say, 24" - 28" away when they're currently 16"ish away, will this cause issues with pre-existing nodes? Or is it detrimental at this point to make the plant stretch?
I'm not trying to beat any deadlines here, so if I can take the extra couple of weeks if I have to sidestep for results, I just need to know that its possible.

Drop me any helpful info you've got if you've got it. I haven't posted before, so I could always use more pointers.

Also, I'm a 0 on the scale of "Green-thumb" or "Not".

The scale starts at 1.

I would suggest you take pics under white light, hard to tell what is up in broad spectrum light.
