Regenerating BUDS - same plant for years

Read that if one sterilze cuts a bud ABOVE first flowers
that one can regenerate the bud growth,
sometimes for 20 years.

I noticed this on out door plants I cut like this...started to grow new bud.

???? --- maintain 12/12 FLOWERING forever????????

would it not just be easier to flower clones instead of constantly chopping the same plant? sounds like it would be prone to hermie but I dont know much on this subject

Regen is a great way to save genetics, but u will notice that each time u regen, that the plant begins to loose vigor and the yield will deminish each time. When i regen, it is just to get her back to veg state so that way i can cut some clones to preserve the genetics.

or just take clones ahead of time..........
