Renting 2nd apartment just for growing?

well i dont think 7500 a year is a good profit, i dont understand why ur buddy gets 2 live rent free, unless he unpaid labor 2 take care of the plants?

I would think that as time goes on he would become lax and eventually invite a few of his friends over or maybe his GF, or maybe hey he won't miss one or two buds now and then. Even if he lived there free or say cheep like maybe $100 a month or whatever. Is there such a friend in this world of today?

i like how you think. i had a situation where i started out with someone and it was well expressed that no one beside me and this person wouldn't know about it. needless to say it was there house, my money and his friends and family all in the know. i would come there and see people in the grow area and be like wtf.
if anything just wait it out until you can come up with something better.

Why not just try to find 2 rooms side by side/ top to bottom. Tell them you don't want people above/below/beside you.
If you already have a 2 bedroom apartment and are growing in your spare bedroom why not move all growing into a second apartment. Split your current rent with a friend, which cuts your rent cost in half, don't give them any rules, and never say anything to that person about your other apartment. More people in the dark the better IMO.
If it's in the same complex then no one will ever ask why they don't see people going in and out. Bring in some computer speakers/ any radio and play music loud enough to let people know you are in your "grow" room when you have stuff to do in there. No one will care if it doesn't smell horrible.

This would be a grow operation way to close to where you live if you dont live there. I hope you konw what I mean by that. With that said involving someone else is not a good plan, they get a dui, smack their gf, something stupid and your busted. Anyone you could find to live there would be down on their luck to begin with and who would be partners at any level with a person like that when one of the outcomes would be getting arrested.
You would be better off getting a comercial spot with someone that smokes and be honest with them and sharing the product.
Watch out who you pick for a partner, lots of people sitting in cells right now thinking that same thing.

I would think that the money you're spending on renting two apartments would be better spent on renting a house say something with a garage. that way you don't have to involve anyone and the chances of maintenance problems or inspection are much lower. and hey you wouldn't have any shared walls with noisy neighbors.

You're going about it all wrong guy. First off an apt is only safe if you're running a micro cab in my opinion, but that's beside the point/ DO NOT trust anyone. Also, no offense but that profit you're seeking is way too low for the risk especially in an apt. Why not set up a perpetual and pull a HP every 3 weeks with those two 6watters?

You can easily fill with 18 plants that will yeild around 2 ounces each.
That's 36 O's for $250 each. Thats $9000 every 3 months.
4x9000 is $36000 a year...
