Resin in my vape whip? WTF?

OK, i know the difference between resin and condensed vapor. I use a whip type system. In the plastic tube there is that nice red liquid that i am about to collect. BUT in the bowl there is gooey resin. I changed out a clogged screen,took it outside and sparked it with a lighter and it went up like a torch! BLACK SMOKE! What the hell? How can you get resin without combustion. It is also kind of strange that this gooey black substance abruptly stops where the glass bowl meets the plastic tube. No resin in the tube. Can anyone coach me up on this? Thanks

Oh, ............jeez whats the big deal about that? I was looking for a proper forum but couldnt figure which one....OOPS!!

I have a Silver surfer and I get a build up in the tube. When I run out of pot I scrape the goo out and It to some already vaped weed and vap that. Kinda like hash oil I guess.

We all turn our vapes too high now and then and get combustion. Pretty much by definition, if there was combustion it was set too high.

Well, what I dont understand is how there can be Goo in the glass bowl underneath the screen but stops EXACTLY where the plastic tube begins. The plastic tube has no goo or resin in it. It has a thin red liquid that when built up can look like resin at first. If you hold it up in the sunlight you can clearly see that it is condensation from the vapor and not resin but in the bowl is resin......?

Well, some of that Goo or Resin especially underneath the screen when it clogs up is golden brown and crumbly. Looks like some hash. But Its not. I smoked it and it taste like Doo Doo. Luckily and for reasons I cant understand. It is only on the glass and screen. The plastic tube is filled with Red liquid THC only. I am going to CVS later to get some rubbing alcohol and collect it from the tube. I post how that went later.

hmmm.....that is interesting......like me, the vape i had used to have the same colour all the way throughout....and we smoked the resin once before when i had to clean it. got ripped, tasted a little bunk but it was alright. shit, it was free.

HOLY FREAK!!!...........I collected the red liquid with some 91% isoprphyl alcohol put it into a glass bowl with a flat bottom then layed it infront of a fan all night and in the morning...whalaa , a pile of love. VERY STICKY like hash oil. collected it with a razor blade spread some on a screen and ripped two hits through my pipe. it bubble like pure bubble hash . I AM STONED!

UPDATE The red liquid/oil taste like half hash oil half resin. The taste is kinds gross and the high although VERY potent is like a resin high. Hits fast and burns out just as fast and leaves your head hurting and a bad taste in your throat and lungs. YUK! I was saving that stuff up for 3 months. DAMN ! thought it would be as good as the vapor that created it.
