resivor drip system

so i am doing a outdoor garden and i was wondering if any one had ever done a system where they put all the water in a bucket and controlled the ph and what not and used a pump to feed the drip line instead of straight from the hose ? kinda like a hydro but not indoors and just the water bucket thanks for your help and its at my house so there is no power issue or water issue

Sound good to me.
I use a cheeper version somtimes i fill a bottle with water an put a needle hole in the botom, an the top an it just slowly drips for 2-3 days. I just sit it beside my plants.
