Retrieving Bubble Bag Residue

My Blackwater bags, bought on ebay arrived yesterday (don't buy these bags).

I took a couple of oz of bud and ran it through. Got some good stuff but there was a fair amount of material pressed into the mesh and also caught on the seam and walls of the bag.

I rinsed the bags in denatured alcohol, and scrubbed the fabric and mesh with a brush dipped in alcohol. I evaporated the alcohol wash and also mixed in a little ground up leaves just to give it some bulk and make it easier to collect.

The result was more than twice what was captured by the mesh, even allowing for the added filler and easily as good as the 73 micron hash.

Let your bags get a little dirty and clog up a bit. If you have a lot to do reuse the water several times it will get stronger each time.

Mouse loves his bubble bags.

Today I took the dried out plant pulp leftover from the BH production and washed it in about 1 pt of acetone. I strained the liquid through a coffee filter and then evaporated it. I set the dish with acetone in a pan of water on the stove and set the temp so that the acetone boils. I open the doors and use a big fan. Takes about 20 mins. I mixed the green goo with some plant material to make it easier to handle. I got as much this way as I from bubbling and from rinsing the bags with alcohol combined. And it's damn potent! I doubt the acetone left anything worthwhile in the plant material. I shall just toss it.

With the BH I did the stirring in a big steel mixing bowl set in a basin of ice & salt. Saves wear and tear on the bags and stays cold.

I am new to BH. Obviously there are subtleties I have yet to learn, but damn, acetone or alcohol is much easier and very efficient.
