Reverse Osmosis

In an attempt to keep water bill down I am wondering about reducing the amount of waste water from my reverse osmosis filter.

I was thinking about having the waste water feed into a holding tank and then putting in a submersible pump to hook back up to the RO filter and filter the waste water. I noticed the waste water TDS is similar to pretreated values (in my case about 400 ppm).

Has anyone done this or have any experience and if so how many times you can filter the waste water. My water out of the tap starts out around 400ppm.
