Reversing male into vegetative state. Have you done it?

I am currently reversing cuttings from two different males, back into vegetative state. Ive never done this before, but I imagine its pretty straightforward and similar to reversing a female into vegetative state. Currently they are under 24 hours of led light.
Have you done this before? Is there anything unusual I should look out for?

Here are pics of the purple male, and the roughed up clone that was recently transplanted. The clone will bounce back, no problem.
